The Assistant Teacher supports the education, supervision, and care of children while assisting with curriculum and lesson planning. They are also responsible for maintaining open communication with parents and ensuring a safe, clean classroom environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and either 2 years of experience with children or 1 year of experience plus 15 college credits in early childhood education. Mandatory state clearances, including FBI and Child Abuse history, and CPR/First Aid certification are required.

The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for assisting in the education, supervision and care of children, curriculum planning, and family engagement in the YMCA Early Learning Center Program. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
