Job description

  • As our College Counselor & Advisor, you will facilitate College Track’s LEAD curriculum and college readiness programming, helping scholars explore their purpose, develop leadership skills, and complete critical college access milestones.
  • They also provide individualized college advising to a caseload of scholars, guiding them through the complex process of preparing for, applying to, and enrolling in and matriculating to college and a commitment to co-creating an integrated, scholar-centered experience in partnership with site teams and families.
  • Day to day, you will: Build trusting relationships with scholars, providing culturally relevant support and fostering a strong sense of belonging within College Track.
  • Work alongside school staff and partner organizations to create a holistic support network for each scholar, ensuring aligned goals and communication.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 120 high school scholars, ensuring each student is equipped with the support they need to matriculate to college and earn a bachelor’s degree.
  • To thrive in this job, you must: Have direct experience working with first-generation college bound students Have facilitation skills and the ability to use culturally responsive and trauma informed approaches.

  • You’d be expected in the office 11:00-7:00pm or 12:00-8:00pm Monday-Friday Compensation: This position is Full-Time, non-exempt.
  • The full compensation range for the College Counselor & Advisor in San Fransisco is $37.50- 45.67/hour with the exact compensation depending on experience.
  • As someone new to this role at College Track, you can expect an offer around $39.54/hour to ensure internal equity while leaving room for compensation growth during your time with us.
