Classroom and special area teachers deliver direct instruction in their assigned curriculum areas, aligned with New York State Learning Standards and tailored to the individual strengths and challenges of each student. In their classrooms, teachers create a highly structured, safe, and therapeutic environment that promotes cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, giving each student the opportunity to achieve success.
Establish and maintain a positive relationship with students and colleagues Create and implement lesson plans in accordance with New York State Learning Standards. Education: Bachelor's Degree required Experience: 2 years of teaching experience required NYS Teacher Certification required Certification in Special Education preferred
