The College of Natural and Health Sciences has a position for a part-time Staff Assistant I (~20 hours per week) in the Nursing Department. This position reports to the College Dean and the Director/Chair of Nursing. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist with day-to-day administrative operations supporting faculty and staff in the Nursing Department. 2. Data input, maintenance, and update of Nursing department database. 3. Prepare check/purchase requisitions. 4. Maintain student files in the department’s databases. 5. Record Nursing department meeting minutes. 6. Maintain office inventory and supplies. 7. Assist the Director of Nursing and faculty in the preparation of various reports and surveys. 8. Assist in the preparation of Nursing events and meetings. 9. Assist with processing of standardized testing protocol. 10. Conduct tours of the nursing department and nursing skills & simulation lab 11. Assist with room, media, and catering requests. 12. Assist with nursing pinning & hooding ceremonies each semester 13. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
1. High school diploma required; college coursework preferred. 2. Two (2) years of clerical office experience. 3. Ability to handle multiple tasks. 4. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely. 5. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office. 7.
