Position Details

  • First- Year Studies Instructional Staff The University of Tampa invites applications for a First-Year Studies instructional staff position. First-Year Studies is a key part of the University of Tampa’s general education program, Spartan Studies. We seek an individual who is prepared to make an enthusiastic contribution to helping first-time in college and transfer students make a successful transition into the University community. This person will teach eight sections of the UTampa 101/102 course. This two-semester first-year study course is designed to help students discover learning opportunities and engage in educational experiences that will enhance the academic skills and social connections necessary for success. Additionally, this individual will provide logistical and administrative support for Spartan Studies and First- Year Studies, including: Course schedule management using the University’s student information system, Workday. Update and maintain departmental information in the University catalog. Website and digital content management. Manage the Spartan Studies course proposal submission process. Financial and purchasing administration. Event planning and coordination Scheduling and monitoring various assessment instruments and surveys.
