The specialist conducts assessments of children's emotional reactions to healthcare and provides developmentally appropriate interventions to reduce stress and anxiety. They serve as a resource for staff and families regarding growth, development, and coping mechanisms in a medical setting.
00am - 4:30pm); 24 hours during Week 1 of pay period, 32 hours during Week 2 of pay period.
Outpatient and Inpatient coverage.
1) to reduce the stress and anxiety related to medical events; and
2) to promote normal growth and development.
These goals are expected to help the child cope with his/her medical experience and return home.
The hourly wage for this opportunity is $26.68/hour to $40.05/hour, with a median wage of $33.36/hour.
In addition, this position is eligible for shift differential pay, which includes $1.75/hour for weekends & $2.35/hour for evenings.
Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity.
