Description We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Early Education Substitute to join our team and support our vibrant learning community. Lead or Assistant Teacher Qualified according to CDEC qualifications Be willing to complete Pre-Service Training as required by the State of Colorado Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing attitude Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different classroom environments Knowledge of early childhood development principles Certification in CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain) High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood education coursework is a plus Prior experience working with young children in an educational or caregiving setting preferred
Provide high-quality instruction and supervision to children in early education settings in the absence of the regular teacher Implement lesson plans and activities designed to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to lead teachers as needed Maintain classroom routines, including mealtime, nap time, and transitions Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and caregivers regarding children's needs and daily activities Follow all safety and health protocols to ensure a secure environment for children and staff Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work primarily performed in classrooms and playground environments with both quiet and noisy conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, sitting on the floor, and moving quickly to respond to children’s needs Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Operation of classroom technology and equipment including computers, copy machines, laminators, and other instructional tools Mental functions include planning, observing, communicating, coordinating, and problem-solving Disclaimer This job description is not intended to include all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications required of the employee.
