Partner with parents, staff, and administration to cultivate a Christ-centered culture that supports the spiritual, emotional, social, behavioral, and academic development of students, equipping students and families through biblical counseling, proactive support, and healthy relationships.
Student Care & Counseling: Provide short-term, biblically grounded counseling for students. Conduct student observations and develop support plans. Facilitate individual and small-group counseling as needed. Equip students with biblical conflict resolution, emotional regulation, responsibility, and Christ-like character. Support students through transitions, crises, and significant life events. Consult with Lincoln Christian School and Church on the Move pastoral leadership in situations requiring pastoral care, spiritual guidance, or additional ministry support. Parent Partnership: Partner with parents, recognizing them as the primary spiritual leaders of their children. Communicate regularly regarding student growth and concerns. Equip families with biblical resources and practical strategies that support student development. Collaborate with parents to develop student support plans. Coordinate parent meetings, workshops, and transition events that equip families and support students as they move through key developmental and academic milestones. Teacher & Administrative Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support student success. Provide classroom strategies and recommendations for behavioral, emotional, and social needs. Participate in parent conferences, intervention meetings, and student support teams. Maintain appropriate documentation and confidentiality. School Culture: Help cultivate a Christ-centered culture marked by grace, truth, and healthy relationships. Teach classroom guidance lessons focused on biblical character, leadership, and social-emotional growth. Support chapels, school events, and spiritual formation initiatives. Foster positive relationships among students, staff, and families. Collaborate between Lincoln Christian School and Church on the Move to support the spiritual well-being of students and families.
Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, modeling Christ in all interactions, and pursues ongoing spiritual growth. Master’s degree in counseling, School Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field. Oklahoma counseling certification or LPC preferred. Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, or organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Pursue ongoing professional growth. Maintain professionalism between home and school, affirming parents as the primary disciplers of their children while supporting the school’s role in developing students intellectually, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
