Who We Are

As one of the fastest-growing academic health centers in the nation, Texas A&M Health encompasses five colleges and numerous centers and institutes working together to improve health through transformative education, innovative research and team-based health care delivery. What we want The Clinical Teaching Assistant assists faculty in the Texas A&M University College of Nursing. Works under the supervision of a Master's or Doctorally prepared nursing faculty member in the clinical area only. Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical learning experiences. What you need to know Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience. Location/Schedule: Round Rock, TX/Part-Time We encourage you to apply! Required Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At least one year experience working as a Registered Nurse in a clinical hospital setting. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing. Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

Functions in the role of clinical supervisor. Assists faculty with the supervision of students’ skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting. Consults with a nursing faculty member in clinical settings. Provides occasional classroom assistance during activities as required. Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a current Texas RN license with at least one year of clinical hospital experience. A Master of Science in Nursing and three years of experience are preferred.
