The teacher will plan and deliver ASL instruction for students in grades 9-12 using both traditional and online methods. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom management, tracking student progress, and integrating a biblical worldview into the curriculum.
This part-time position will teach students (9-12) ASL in a classroom setting through a kingdom mindset and a biblical worldview. As a ministry of FBC the mission of CCS is to inspire students and families to follow Jesus.

Bachelor or higher degree in education, ASL, or a related field.
Teaching Experience preferred.
ACSI teacher certification – able to obtain upon hire 1stAid/CPR certification preferred – able to obtain upon hire
Plan, prepare and deliver traditional classroom and online instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Establish & maintain appropriate & effective classroom management procedures. Develop a rapport with students that motivates & fosters enthusiasm for learning. Creatively integrate technology in the classroom to enhance learning. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve subject matter, grade-level & school goals. Provide appropriate feedback on student work in a prompt and timely manner. Maintain accurate & complete records of student progress & attendance in database. Maintain up-to-date lesson plans via administration approved channel. Professionally communicate necessary information regularly to students, team members and parents regarding student progress and disciplinary matters. Comply with all policies, practices and procedures. Work to ensure that confidentiality is maintained by faculty and staff as it pertains to student discipline, academic struggles or staff issues.
WORKING CONDITIONS Typically, a 5-day work week in a classroom environment. Working with various socio-economic groups, ages and nationalities.
