Assistant Men's Basketball Coach: Assists the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the coaching and student-athlete instruction of all participants in the basketball program. This is a 10-month position.

· 55% Provide assistance to the Head Coach with activities and essential daily work associated with the program and student athletics, including but not limited to, recruitment, game preparation, on-the-floor coaching, video work, scouting, study hall, NJCAA compliance, paperwork, and community involvement.
· 25% Recruits potential student athletes.
· 15% Monitors athletes’ behavior in dormitory. Assists student athletes with skill development, monitors academic progress and social skills.

· A Bachelor's degree is required.
· A Master's degree is preferred.
· Successful experience coaching/playing at the collegiate level or higher is required.
· Successful experience as an assistant coach at the collegiate level is preferred.
· Must have knowledge of the game, skill level to teach the game, and comprehension of evaluating talent.
· Must have the drive to recruit and develop players.
· Strong computer skills are required.
· Must have the ability to respond to emergency situation in a timely manner.
· The position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending and stooping.
· Job may require periodic lifting of heavy objects over 50 pounds.
· May be exposed to bodily fluids.
