Substitute Teachers provide instructional support and classroom supervision by implementing lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. They are responsible for maintaining a safe, orderly learning environment and supporting the academic and spiritual development of students.

Louis.Job Summary Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support and classroom supervision in the absence of the regular teacher.

Substitute Teachers are responsible for implementing lesson plans, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment, and supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of students while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

  • Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the regular teacher.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
  • Supervise students throughout the school day and during assigned activities.
  • Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Take attendance and complete required documentation.
  • Communicate relevant information regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities to school administration and the regular teacher.
  • Adapt to different grade levels, subject areas, and classroom settings as needed.
  • Support and model the values and mission of Sacred Heart Catholic School.
  • Follow all school, diocesan, and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or related setting preferred.
