Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing and student health support services at the Jacobs Creek Job Corps Conservation Center. The Registered Nurse will support the Health and Wellness Center by providing nursing assessments, sick call services, medication and treatment support, health education, referrals, clinical documentation, and coordination of student healthcare needs.
Provide professional nursing care and student health services within the authorized scope of practice. Conduct nursing assessments and evaluate students presenting with illnesses, injuries, or other health concerns. Conduct scheduled sick calls and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Obtain and document vital signs, health histories, and other required clinical information. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with authorized medical orders and established procedures. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing stabilization until additional medical care is available. Monitor and support students with chronic or ongoing health conditions. Coordinate medical, dental, laboratory, emergency, and specialty healthcare referrals. Track referrals and follow-up care to support continuity of student healthcare. Maintain accurate and timely student health records and required clinical documentation. Support proper medication, medical supply, and treatment safeguards. Provide health education, disease prevention, wellness, and healthy lifestyle guidance to students. Coordinate with Health and Wellness staff and other authorized personnel regarding student healthcare needs. Maintain student confidentiality and protect health information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and established procedures. Complete required daily logs, reports, and other nursing documentation accurately and on time. Participate in required meetings, training, and health-related program activities.
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid to practice in Tennessee. Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required. Relevant professional nursing experience and ability to work effectively with adolescent and young-adult populations. Ability to assess health concerns, prioritize clinical needs, and respond appropriately to urgent situations. Strong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive student health information. Must successfully complete all required background, suitability, credentialing, and onboarding requirements prior to beginning work.
Candidates must hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. A degree from an accredited professional nursing program and experience working with adolescent or young-adult populations are required.
