The Co-Lead Teacher will co-lead daily instruction and implement age-appropriate curricula for the Older Ones classroom. They are responsible for fostering a nurturing learning environment and communicating developmental progress to families.

The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Co-Lead Teacher to join our Older Ones classroom! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners in a collaborative, supportive teaching environment where your dedication to early childhood education truly shines.

Responsibilities

Co-lead daily classroom instruction and activities tailored to the developmental needs of older ones children Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for all children Collaborate closely with your co-teacher to ensure consistent classroom management and routines Observe, document, and communicate children's developmental progress to families Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space

Requirements

Experience in early childhood education or a related childcare setting Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children Must meet NC childcare licensing requirements, including background check Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification About Us: The Learning Tree is a beloved early childhood licensed Christian based center rooted in the Wilmington, NC community, dedicated to growing curious, confident, and kind young learners.
