Join The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC as an Afternoon Floater/Assistant Teacher! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to support our dedicated team in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and routines. Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities. Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational programs. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff. Provide individual attention to children as needed to support their learning and development. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Assist with snack preparation and supervision.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred. Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Passion for working with young children and fostering their development. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements. Must be available from 1pm to 5:30pm no exception to accommodate afternoon shifts.
