The Student/Family Engagement Specialist will develop and oversee programs to support students' academic and social development while fostering strong partnerships between the school, families, and community organizations. Responsibilities include conducting attendance outreach, organizing bilingual workshops, and maintaining data for school initiatives.
Bachelor's degree preferred Bi-lingual Spanish Required, both written and verbal Demonstrated experience working in an educational, social service, or family support service setting Demonstrated experience working in a Bi-lingual Spanish setting and with a recent immigrant population Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to work and interact effectively with a diverse community of stakeholders A self-starting team player with excellent organizational skills Experience with social media, such as: Facebook and Instagram Familiar with the community and support agencies Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the families Flexible hours to accommodate work in the evening and some weekends Experience with child development and effective parenting techniques Experience working with families that have diverse cultures and economic backgrounds Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, SmartBoard, and PowerPoint Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of professionals and parents Experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative professional relationships Compensation: $53,000, dependent upon experience.
