• JOHNSTOWN GYELC - Johnstown, PA 15905PRE-K TEACHER ASSISTANT GROWING YEARS EARLY LEARNING CENTER at BEDFORD FULL TIME – 1st SHIFT MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY SCHEDULE NO HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS The Growing Years Early Learning Center in Bedford, offering childcare for children from birth through five years of age in a teaching environment that is secure and nurturing, is actively seeking a full-time, first shift Pre-K Teacher Assistant. This position will assist the Pre-K Classroom Teacher to implement program planning to include individualized activities for each child in the classroom.
• Duties include: Assists Pre-K classroom teacher to maintain accurate records for the classroom as requested such as food data, attendance, etc. Completes all forms accurately and submits them in a timely manner to the supervisor. Assists Pre-K classroom teacher to monitor and maintain inventory and supplies used in the classroom. Monitors and maintains in good repair materials and equipment used in the classroom. Provides services to assigned families with children ages three to five years. Maintains accurate records of classroom experiences, family contacts, services to children, food data, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Qualifications

A minimum of a CDA preschool credential or completion of at least two years of full-time, post-secondary study; or the equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related degree; or an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood or related degree with at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
