Develops and maintains a healthy, safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Assists in the supervision and assessment of practicum students, student employees, and service learning students. Prepares, schedules and participates in parent/teacher conferences. Gathers, compiles and reviews portfolio samples to assess student progress within New Mexico Early Learning Guidelines. Models best teaching practices for students. Participates in Child Assistance Team meetings. Communicates and meets with parents of Center students. Refers students to external service providers as appropriate. An associate degree in early childhood education or related fields, such as child development, psychology, sociology, or education or 5 years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education Program.
