Role Overview Thrive Education Partners is seeking an exceptional Middle School Tutor to join our growing team of educators.

What You'll Do Provide engaging, one-on-one instruction in middle school English Language Arts and/or mathematics.
Design personalized lessons that strengthen foundational skills while supporting each student's long-term academic growth.
Explicitly teach executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, time management, study strategies, and self-advocacy.
Adapt your instruction to each student's learning style, strengths, and areas for growth.
Build students' confidence while maintaining appropriately high expectations and encouraging increasing independence.
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on ongoing assessment and observation.
Communicate professionally with families, sharing thoughtful updates, insights, and recommendations that support continued growth.
Prepare lessons, organize instructional materials, and manage academic planning with care and attention to detail.

Bachelor's degree or higher in Middle School Education or a related field. At least 1 year of teaching experience or tutoring students in grades 5–8. Strong experience in middle school English Language Arts or math. Experience communicating professionally with families through brief progress updates, regular written session notes, and consultative recommendations about learning strategies and next steps. Eligible to work in the United States. Available to commit to a consistent weekly weekend tutoring schedule with reliable in-person availability in the greater Nashville area.
Current or former classroom teacher, learning specialist, interventionist, or educational therapist. Ability to tutor both middle school ELA and math. Experience working with students with ADHD or executive functioning challenges. Experience working with students with dyslexia or other learning differences. Background in structured literacy. Holds an active, valid secondary ELA/Math teaching certification. Available on Saturday afternoons.
