The Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in planning and executing team sessions, player development, and game day strategies. They are also responsible for student-athlete recruitment, academic oversight, and managing travel logistics.
Assist in the planning, development, and administration of certain aspects of the program Assist in implementation of team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes Assist in academic oversight of student-athletes Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech Aid the Head Coach in planning and executing in-gym sessions Assist in player development Assist in game day strategies and execution Execute film breakdown and scouting Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements. Develop fundraising strategies Coordinate travel logistics for on-road contests and other needs Complete other duties as assigned by the head coach or the athletic director Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred Experience 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred Working Conditions Nights and weekends required Overtime hours required in season Travel for competitions and recruiting required Application materials must include a cover letter and resume.
