The instructor leads energizing and safe group fitness classes while building authentic relationships with YMCA members. They are responsible for supporting members in achieving their healthy living goals and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment.

We offer classes that energize, challenge, and connect members of all backgrounds. As an instructor, you’ll be the heartbeat of the class, inspiring members to move, grow, and thrive together.
Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
1.
Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group fitness classes, as directed by the supervisor.
2.
Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
3.
Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living; maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
4.
Teaches at least one group fitness class per pay period, unless your supervisor states otherwise.
5.
Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.
6.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
