About the role

The assistant coach will provide position-specific instruction and assist in planning defensive and team drills. They are also responsible for attending all practices and games while supporting the university's mission and values.

Position Description The Athletics Department at Concordia University Wisconsin, a private NCAA DIII institution in Mequon, Wisconsin, is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Coach in the women's lacrosse program.

This is a part-time, seasonal position reporting to the program's Head Coach and further to the Director of Athletics.

Assistant Coaches at CUWAA fulfill the Athletics Department mission to inspire a Christian culture of academic and athletic excellence by embracing the mission of the University: developing the mind, body and spirit of our student-athletes.

Job

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide position-specific instruction (pitching) Help practice plan for defensive drills. Help coordinate team drills. Attend practice and games. Support and integrate the mission and values of Concordia University within the program. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent communication skills. Understanding of women's lacrosse and ability to transfer knowledge to others Ability to manage student-athletes and facilitate team dynamics Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a driver check. Supportive of mission and core values of the CUWAA Athletics Department. Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree and collegiate playing experience or coaching experience is preferred. Physical Demands/Equipment (Click to View) Compensation & Benefits This is a part-time, seasonal position paid by way of bi-monthly stipend throughout the duration of the sport/program season. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. This position is not eligible for employee benefits. Requirements

A bachelor's degree and collegiate playing or coaching experience are preferred. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a valid driver's license.
