The Teacher's Assistant is responsible for maintaining a safe, inclusive, and healthy classroom environment while following daily schedules and developmental screening protocols. They must also communicate effectively with families regarding child activities and ensure compliance with all licensing rules and health information privacy standards.
What You Will Do Follows daily schedule Helps complete assessments and developmental screenings as assigned Maintains a caring, inclusive, classroom experience Maintains a safe environment by practicing active supervision Maintains a healthy learning environment by sanitizing materials Creates and keeps current an account on the Ohio Professional Registry including 10 hours of Ohio Approved training annually Communicates with families daily regarding their child’s activities and wellbeing Monitors children for illness and medical needs to prevent and respond to medical emergencies Remain compliant ODJFS Child Care Licensing Rules at all times Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned.
