About the role

The Athletics Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, results-based volleyball lessons and engaging with program participants. They must also ensure facilities and equipment are properly maintained and secured for each session.

Athletics Program Instructor/Coach

Under the direction of the Athletics Coordinator, the Athletics Program Instructor/Coach for volleyball is responsible for high quality lessons and participant engagement. This individual must maintain high personal standards and adhere to and carry out the Purpose of Greater Midland.

Major Job Responsibilities

Ensure high quality programs that are results-based driven, with proper planning and engaging lesson plans.

Work cooperatively, positively, enthusiastically and professionally with all program participants, parents, Greater Midland Staff and Volunteers.

Ensure that facilities, equipment and supplies are secured for each program session.

Available to work evenings and weekends

Ensure that character development is present in all programs (caring, honesty, respect, responsibility).

Complete, in a timely manner, all requests from supervisor in the achievements of department and center goals/objectives.

Qualification Requirements

CPR / First Aid / AED; preferred.

Minimum age of 15.

Volleyball Experience

Excellent people skills; ability to work with a wide variety of personalities.

Strong verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to continuously physically engage at a child’s level

Requirements

Candidates must have volleyball experience and strong verbal communication skills, with a minimum age requirement of 15. Possession of CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications is preferred.
