As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Los Angeles, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Los Angeles, CA Schedule: 25 hours, 3 sessions a week for 2hrs Pay range is between $25 and $35 Ideal Candidate: Experience supporting students with learning differences or special education needs Strong background in reading intervention, language development, and foundational academic instruction Skilled at teaching reading fluency, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development Experience supporting executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, and task completion Patient, encouraging, and able to adapt instruction to a student's individual learning level Comfortable teaching foundational math concepts as needed Strong communication and rapport-building skills Able to break down concepts into manageable, step-by-step instruction Creative and engaging teaching style that maintains motivation and participation Experience developing individualized lesson plans and monitoring student progress Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction in reading fluency, reading comprehension, and language development Strengthen communication skills through structured discussions, vocabulary building, and comprehension activities Support executive functioning skills, including organization, planning, time management, and task completion Reinforce foundational math concepts based on the student's instructional level and academic needs Differentiate instruction to match the student's current academic performance (approximately 2nd–3rd grade level) Use engaging, multi-sensory, and interactive teaching strategies to increase participation and confidence Build foundational academic skills while promoting independence and self-advocacy Incorporate social-emotional learning strategies that support emotional regulation, communication, and positive learning behaviors Monitor progress and adjust lessons to meet the student's evolving needs Maintain a structured, supportive, and encouraging learning environment Why Tutor Me Education?
