Market context

School interpreters are in steady demand

Washington school districts often need qualified Sign Language Interpreters to support students who use ASL, especially when districts are filling classroom-based and itinerant assignments. These roles are competitive because employers typically look for BEI or RID certification, an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher, and current BLS/CPR, while an associate degree can strengthen your application. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm your credentials and prepare examples of school-based interpreting experience before applying.
