TheraEd Staffing is seeking 2 dedicated Special Education Case Managers to join a supportive school district in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for professionals with strong organizational and collaboration skills who are passionate about ensuring students receive the special education services and support they need to succeed. As a Special Education Case Manager, you will oversee the coordination and compliance of special education services while working closely with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams. Job Responsibilities Manage a caseload of students receiving special education services Coordinate the development, implementation, and annual review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings in compliance with IDEA and state regulations Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and ensure services are delivered as outlined Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and records Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students and their families regarding special education services
Job Requirements Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field Active New Mexico Special Education Teaching License Current New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) Certification required Experience with IEP development, case management, and special education compliance preferred Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Qualified new graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply
