About the role

The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse needs. They are responsible for delivering differentiated instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining accurate records while communicating with caregivers.

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated educational team in Ware Shoals, SC. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, specialists, and school support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and tools to address the individual needs of each student
  • Establish clear learning objectives, assess student progress, and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student development and support home-based reinforcement strategies

Requirements

  • Valid state teaching credential in Special Education
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience within the past 5 years
