General Responsibilities Provide home visiting services to families in designated areas.

Provide physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth and development of infants and toddlers in home-based and center-based settings.

Work with parents and families to develop, plan, model, and implement positive early childhood experiences.

Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers.

Implement evidence-based program models and research-based curriculum with fidelity.

Provide learning experiences to parents that support child development, including developmental parenting and facilitative approaches.

Conduct ongoing observation and authentic assessment of children, maintaining documentation of progress and growth in partnership with parents.

Develop activities for parents that promote participation and engagement in educational activities.

Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, newsletters, and home visits.

Maintain professional competence through in-service education and self-selected professional growth activities.

Coordinate and collaborate with other program or community service providers regarding Individual Family Goal Plans and enter data into appropriate systems.

Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services, early childhood education, social work, or health-related field. Minimum of 18 hours of coursework in early childhood education, psychology, social work, health, and/or child development. Preferably 1 year of experience working directly with pregnant teens/women, parenting teens, and low-income families in their home environment. Experience in home visiting with a strong background in prevention services for the 0-3 age population. Willingness to obtain and maintain certification and training in First Aid, CPR, Infant/Toddler Development. Knowledge of prenatal, labor, delivery, postpartum, maternal-infant health, and dynamics of child abuse and neglect. Personal vehicle for transportation; periodic weekend recruitment activities. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, family systems, and social backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams). Adhere to the Agency’s Code of Ethics and conduct all responsibilities in accordance with the standards outlined in the Employee Handbook. Pass background clearance, physical, and TB test; valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
