EEC Infant Toddler Certification or CDA required High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Daycare experience in a center-based or private school setting A nurturing demeanor and a love for infants and their development A minimum of one year of experience working in an infant classroom, practicing safe feeding/sleeping, diapering, sanitation, and sensory and motor development support
Flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the operating hours of the school, including opening and closing shifts Ability to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the children Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to stand up to 90% of the workday Attentiveness, strong time management, and a team-focused mindset
Collaborating with your co-teacher to prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and materials Providing responsive, individualized care that supports each infant's development through gentle, age-appropriate activities Keeping parents informed and building positive relationships with children and families Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment Assisting with daily routines, including bottles, meals, diapering, and naptime, tailored to each infant's individual feeding and sleeping schedule Tracking children's progress and completing required assessments Maintaining your EEC-required professional development hours and PQ registry Helping infants build a sense of security, trust, and early communication skills
