About the Role

The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a warm, nurturing, and dedicated Full Time Infant Room Assistant to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most critical stage of a child's early development. If you have a passion for caring for little ones and creating a safe, loving environment, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, hands-on care for infants in a safe and nurturing classroom environment Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and soothing Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory play and early learning activities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe infant room in accordance with childcare regulations Communicate daily updates and milestones with parents and guardians Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support each child's individual developmental needs Follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines for infant care

Requirements

Previous experience in childcare, infant care, or early childhood education preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; ECE coursework or credentials a plus CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Ability to pass a required background check Patient, compassionate, and dependable with a genuine love for working with infants Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Must be able to meet the physical demands of infant care, including lifting and bending About Us: The Learning Tree has been a trusted name in early childhood education in the Wilmington, NC community, providing families with a safe, enriching, and loving environment for their children to grow and thrive.
