Job Summary/Basic Function

The Simulation Center Student Worker will work alongside Simulation Center personnel to support the day-to-day operations of the simulation environment. This position provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience with simulation technology, equipment, and operations while developing technical, organizational, and professional skills.

Responsibilities

may include assisting with simulation technology and equipment, preparing and organizing simulation spaces, providing general administrative support, following up on tasks or requests, maintaining files and records, data entry, typing, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic computer knowledge and comfort learning new technology. Ability to follow directions and work independently when appropriate. Dependable, organized, and willing to learn. Ability to work effectively with Simulation Center personnel, faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Qualifications

Enrollment in a Robotics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or related program. Interest in technology, simulation, healthcare, or equipment operations. Experience with computers, technology, troubleshooting, or organizational systems.

Physical Demands

Must be able to perform physically, with or without reasonable accommodations, and safely within the simulation setting. Duties may require standing, bending, reaching, moving equipment, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of simulation activities. Must be able to lift and move simulator manikins and other equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Hours

as available max. 19hrs./week
