Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students and translate findings into functional goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals; deliver direct therapy and, when appropriate, small-group sessions.
  • Modify activities, tasks, and classroom environments to support fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and participation in classroom routines.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting.
  • Document therapy sessions in a timely, accurate manner; monitor student progress and adjust goals as needed.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and state regulations; support transition planning and coordination with other professionals as required.

Requirements

  • Active occupational therapy license in Washington state or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or Doctorate as applicable)
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in pediatric populations and school-based practice
  • Ability to work on-site in a school setting during the listed shift and to collaborate with educators and support staff
  • Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
  • Ability to pass required background checks and clearances for school-based employment
