About the Role

At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — right in their home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (~2–10 hrs/week) and take on additional students whenever you'd like to grow your hours and income. What You'll Do Lead engaging 1:1 sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs Implement creative lesson plans aligned to each student's IEP goals (full resources and support from our team) Adapt academic materials to each student's unique learning profile Track progress after each session and keep open, empathetic communication with parents and guardians Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience Who We're Looking For AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred) Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes Ability to pass a background check Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus — premium rates available for bilingual matches Pay $25–$35+ per hour, based on your credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student you're matched with. Most roles fall in the $25–$35+ range; higher rates apply for credentialed or specialized tutors, higher-need cases, and bilingual (Spanish/English) matches.
