$22.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on the position offered

For more than 70 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has provided a safe, inclusive, and supportive place for young people to learn, grow, and thrive. Our licensed preschool program helps children build confidence, develop social‑emotional skills, and experience meaningful relationships with caring adults.

Position Summary

The Preschool Staff member supports the daily operation of licensed preschool programming, creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3–5. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and want to grow their skills in early childhood education.

Essential duties & responsibilities

Preschool Learning & Play — Lead engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support social‑emotional and cognitive development.

Daily Routines — Support transitions, hygiene routines, snack time, and classroom expectations.

Positive Guidance — Maintain a warm, welcoming environment using strengths‑based strategies.

Family Communication — Build positive, professional relationships with families.

Safety & Licensing — Follow DCYF licensing standards, supervision expectations, and safety protocols.

Team Collaboration — Work closely with Club staff to support consistent routines and high‑quality programming.

Qualifications

  • (We encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply — training is provided.)
  • Experience working with young children or interest in early childhood education.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Ability to support structured routines and engaging activities.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a National Background Check.
