The Substitute Youth Development Professional supports the delivery of safe, interactive programs by assisting in planning and implementation, actively monitoring activities, and building positive relationships with youth, families, and staff. This role also requires covering staffing needs across various sites to ensure required staff-to-youth ratios are maintained.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, possess demonstrated experience working with youth, and have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple Bellevue locations on short notice. A willingness to be flexible regarding changing job responsibilities and locations is essential, and all candidates must pass a National Background Check.
Position Type: Part-Time (25-29 hours per week), some flexibility available

Be a Leader in Youth Development
A Substitute Youth Development Professional (YDP) plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of safe, interactive programs and activities for our Club members. This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as Substitute YDPs must be available to work across multiple Bellevue locations based on staffing needs. Substitute YDPs assist in the daily delivery of a wide variety of developmentally appropriate youth programs and activities such as Education & Career Development, Sports & Recreation, Character & Leadership Development, Homework Support, and Specialized Initiatives.
This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated and positive, and can balance an energetic, fun, youth-focused atmosphere with professionalism and maturity. Substitute YDPs serve as role models for all Club Members and are expected to participate in all activities and motivate and inspire our youth to engage.
BGCB is an ever-changing organization and strives to meet the fluctuating needs of youth and the community. Because of this, we are looking for flexible individuals who are comfortable in an environment where job responsibilities and location could be subject to change.
