The ESOL Teacher provides English instruction, academic advising, and personalized support to adult learners while developing curriculum materials. The ESOL Teacher provides English instruction, academic advising, and personalized support to students; develops up-to-date curriculum materials following student needs and goals; and works collaboratively with the Program Director and Education Center team.
This part-time position is scheduled for 28 hours per week over a 36-week academic year at an hourly rate of $30.00. The regular work schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Weekly responsibilities include 14 hours of classroom instruction, 5 hours of lesson planning and instructional preparation, 2 hours of professional development and training, 2 hours of student advising and support, and 5 hours of assessment administration, ensuring compliance with program, state, and grant requirements.
