The America Reads Tutoring Program is currently accepting applications throughout the academic year. This program combines community service, rewarding work experience, and a chance to make a difference in future generations. The America Reads Program aims to help elementary aged children (ages K-8) learn to read independently through small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions.
*Successful tutors may continue employment through the spring and subsequent years, if eligible.
Monday - Thursday, Afternoon/Evenings, 2-9 hours/week
*All tutoring is completed by 7: 30 pm

Candidates must electronically submit an application with a resume and a statement of interest (<300 words) to be considered for a tutoring position.
In order to qualify for the program, you MUST have work study noted as part of your financial aid package.
Some undergraduate students (with limited family resources as determined by the results of the FAFSA) qualify for Work Study funds to help offset costs of college.
This is a federally-funded opportunity to earn "spending money" through part-time, on-campus employment.
Eligibility for work-study does not guarantee you will find a campus job.
