The teacher will plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum to foster the social, emotional, and physical development of young children. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe classroom environment and communicating regularly with parents regarding child progress.

Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Center Teacher to join our team in Salina, KS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote early childhood development.

Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment.

Observe and assess children’s progress and development, maintaining accurate records.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child’s growth and any concerns.

Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations related to early childhood education.

Encourage positive behavior and social skills among children.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and educational lesson plans.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred
  • Passion for working with children and fostering their growth.
