Position Information

Title: Student Worker Administrative Assistant

Division: Clerical

Department: SONHP

Non-Exempt: Part time

II.

Position Summary

The Student Worker Administrative Assistant is responsible for offering administrative support to the School of Nursing.

IV. Reports to

Direct Report to: Program Manager, School of Nursing

V. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assists with general office duties

  • answer phones, copying, filing
  • Tracking office supply inventory
  • Document maintenance (Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs, Sheets and Forms)
  • Assist walk-in traffic
  • Offer support for on- and off-campus events
  • Other tasks as assigned by faculty and staff

VII. Education and Experience

Minimum

Must be a student currently enrolled at Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Preferred

Student should maintain a current GPA of at least (2.5)

VIII. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Organized with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to prioritize work and resources.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality.

High integrity and ethical standards.

IX. Physical Requirements

Duties

involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.

X. Other Requirements

  • This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule.
  • Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
  • Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
