About the Role

Bright Imaginations Prep in Lakeland, FL is looking for a passionate and nurturing Paraprofessional to join our Elementary school team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development every single day.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging, age-appropriate instruction to elementary-aged students Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional academic assistance Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment Monitor and redirect student behavior using positive behavior intervention strategies Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional periods Assist with preparing classroom materials, activities, and learning resources Communicate student progress and concerns effectively with lead teachers and staff

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or 48 college credit hours preferred Prior experience working with young children in a school or childcare setting is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff Patient, dependable, and passionate about early childhood and elementary education Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively with lead teachers Must pass a background check in accordance with Florida state requirements CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain About Us: Bright Imaginations Prep has been a trusted name in the Lakeland, FL community, dedicated to sparking curiosity and creativity in every child we serve.
