About the role

The instructor is responsible for providing GED instruction and developing engaging lesson plans that meet program requirements. They will also maintain academic progress and support students in achieving their personal and career-related goals.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Part-Time GED Instructor to join our NY & NJ Teams. This position is responsible for providing GED instruction, developing classroom activities that meet program requirements, and maintaining academic progress.

The instructor will also support students in achieving their personal and career-related goals while developing engaging lesson plans and course materials that are appropriate for their educational level and subject area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that align with students' grade levels and subject areas.
  • Provide classroom instruction while adapting activities to meet program guidelines and student needs.
  • Encourage and assist students in working toward their personal, educational, and professional goals.
  • Establish positive relationships with students to better understand their concerns and identify areas where additional academic support may be needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

At least two years of relevant experience teaching GED or adult education programs. Flexible work from home options available.
