High School Spanish Teacher

We are seeking a High School General Education Spanish Teacher for a full-time, 1.0 FTE school-based position in Wayne County, Michigan. The teacher will provide engaging Spanish language instruction and help students strengthen their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Plan and deliver Spanish language instruction aligned with school curriculum. Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Create lessons and activities appropriate for different student ability levels. Assess student learning and provide timely feedback. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment. Keep accurate grades, attendance, and student records. Communicate with families and school staff regarding student progress when needed. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel. Participate in staff meetings and required school activities.
Bachelor's degree. Valid or eligible state teaching license or certification appropriate for the assignment. Ability to teach and communicate effectively in Spanish. Comfortable working with high school students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with school staff. Previous classroom teaching experience preferred, but not required if properly licensed or eligible.
