The multisystemic therapist (Mst) provides intensive, home- And community-Based therapy to youth with serious behavioral, emotional, and/Or substance use challenges. They work collaboratively with families and community systems to reduce problem behaviors and improve family functioning.

Requirements summary

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field is required, along with experience working with at-Risk youth and families. Strong crisis intervention skills and a valid driver’s license are also necessary.
