Description This is a part-time, remote position. While the employee will not be based in an office, the role requires regular on-site visits to schools and travel within the assigned region.

A Dual Language Instructional Assistant primary duty is to provide instructional support for students and teachers in the Participate Dual Language Mandarin immersion classrooms. This position leads groups across different subject areas with instruction delivered in Mandarin. The lead dual language teacher will have primary responsibility for the overall instruction of the class. However, in the absence of a lead teacher, the DLIA is expected to take over the lead instructional role in the classroom.
Flexibility required for working in Wake and Cumberland areas. The person in this position will be traveling to Wake and Cumberland County.
The DLIA may serve in one or more Participate dual language program schools within the same geographic area based on need for coverage or support as instructed by the Director of Dual Language Programs or program manager. This is a part-time position with full benefits; assignments may vary between 25 - 40 hours per week depending on need.
