Responsibilities include prompting safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication and social skills, and increasing the frequency of appropriate behaviors through reinforcement. The role also requires following behavioral plans, providing crisis intervention when necessary, and collecting daily behavioral data.

Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in communication, behavior management, flexibility, and collaboration, along with the ability to respond quickly and safely to emergencies. Required qualifications include empathy, creative problem-Solving skills, and comfort with receiving regular feedback.
