Lead Camp Counselor-Coal Creek YMCA

The lead counselor assists the camp supervisor in training, guiding, and overseeing other camp counselors while being responsible for the health, safety, and positive experience of a group of up to 15 children. This role involves implementing planned program activities, professionally engaging with parents, and ensuring equipment is maintained according to ymca policies.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and possess 1-2 years of experience working with children in settings like camps or childcare, along with experience planning group activities. Candidates must also have a ged or high school diploma plus 12 college credits, and must be able to model ymca values and complete required training and background checks.
