Core responsibilities
The aquatics staff lead is responsible for performing lifeguard and swim instructor duties while creating and promoting a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. Key duties include ensuring member safety through vigilant scanning, enforcing rules, instructing swimming lessons, administering emergency care, and assisting with scheduling and staff training.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess current ymca lifeguard supervisor, lifeguard, cpr for the professional rescuer, aed, first aid, and oxygen certifications. A minimum of six months of aquatics experience, including 100 hours of lifeguard service, is required, along with the ability to pass background and reference checks.
