Job description

Lander~Grinspoon Academy, a K-6 Jewish Day school in Northampton, MA, is hiring a dynamic and creative full-time Hebrew teacher.

  • What you will do You will teach Hebrew classes to students in grades 2-6 every day. Each class is 45-60 minutes, conducted all in Hebrew. In addition you will
  • Partner with families in regular communication
  • Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student
  • Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year
  • Commit to implementing our social/emotional curriculum as well as our strong academic program

Qualifications

  • Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic about contributing to school-wide initiatives including social justice, our on-site working farm, and creative arts. In addition, you
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree
  • Are fluent in Hebrew and able to teach entirely in the target language
  • Have strong Judaic content knowledge and are able to teach about Jewish holidays in Hebrew
  • Have experience teaching elementary grade students
  • Work well as part of team
  • Are familiar with Talam (preferred)
