- The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients through a combination of interviews, behavioral observations, and psychological testing, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools to accurately identify mental health conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders.
- Based on these assessments, Clinical Psychologist will collaborate with other clinicians and clients to create individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based practices that address specific needs and goals.
- Utilizing various therapeutic modalities—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)- the psychologist facilitates healing and personal growth while monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical psychology, health psychology, counseling psychology or related field from a program approved by the American Psychology Association.
- Completion of relevant post-doctoral training by the time of hire dateLicensure/Certification/Registry:
- Current license as a Clinical Psychologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional RegulationExperience:
- Experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams, contributing insights from psychological assessments to inform treatment planning
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews and standardized testingOther Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and diagnostic criteria
- Knowledge of psychological theories
- Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
- Ability to articulate complex psychological concepts in a clear and understandable manner

Responsibilities: Principal
Duties & Responsibilities
- 1. Assessment and Diagnosisa. Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using observation, clinical interviews, standardized psychological tests, and other assessment tools.b. Gather detailed case histories from patients and their families to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. c. Utilize diagnostic manuals such as the DSM-5 to identify mental health conditions accurately. 2. Treatment Planning and Implementationa. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques.3. Counseling Servicesa. Offer therapeutic interventions aimed at helping individuals better understand their mental health challenges and develop coping mechanisms.b. Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals for their personal, social, educational, and vocational development. c. Employ a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic approaches4. Behavior Modificationa. Design and implement behavior modification programs tailored to clients' needs, focusing on improving maladaptive behaviors.b. Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on clients’ responses and feedback.5. Consultation and Collaborationa. Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, counselors, and social workers, to coordinate patient careb. Consult on complex cases to discuss treatment options, share insights, and ensure comprehensive support for clients6. Documentation and Reportinga. Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.b. Prepare reports for insurance purposes and coordinate with healthcare providers regarding patient care7. Professional Development. a.
